Die DreamBox S 500 HD ist ein Linux HDTV Festplatten Receiver. Es ist der kleinste HDTV PVR von Dream Multimedia. Die DreamBox S 500 HD besitzt nur einen DVB-S2 Tuner und nur einen Firecrypt Kartenleser. CI Slots besitzt das Gerät nicht. Wie fast alle Dreamboxen nutzt die DreamBox 500 HD auch Linux als Betriebssystem. Neben einer Mini USB, Lan und eSata Schnittstelle gibt es diesmal auch einen HDMI Anschluss. Das Gerät besitzt 256 MB Ram und 96 MB Flash Speicher. Das Herz des Receivers ist ein 400 MHz MIPS Prozessor. |
